Great Oaks From Little Acorns Grow

Please spend some time reading your books and practising your Red Rocket words.

- Can you read each word?

- Can you write the words without peeking?

- Can you write sentences using the words?

Below are some writing activities you may like to do at home.

  • Pick your favourite book and write a book review (What is the book called? Who is the author? Why do you like the story? Who are the characters? Who would you recommend the story to? Can you draw a picture of your favourite part?)
  • Write a recount of your morning routine. What did you do this morning?
  • Write your own helicopter story. Can you get your family to act it out with you?
  • Write a letter to one of your friends who you will miss over the holiday. What would you like to tell them?

Maths (18/2/22) - The file is interactive but you may wish to print it out or write the answers on a plain piece of paper.

Topic - Please use the link below to our class page, where you can review our topic knowledge organisers. Can you find out any new facts about one of our topics? You might like to make your own book/poster/leaflet about what you have learnt.

Maths - Below are some different worksheets that you can have a go at. Don't worry if you don't have a printer at home, you can just have a go at answering the questions on a plain piece of paper.

If you would like to try something different, have a go at:

  • practising your 2, 5 and 10 times tables!
  • go on a 3D shape hunt. Write down how many edges and vertices does each shape have?
  • can you make up your own fact family? We have been learning about fact families made up of 2 addition sentences and 2 subtraction sentences.
