A DREAM OF A MIDSUMMER'S EVE
Congratulations to Maud Heath and Brunel Classes for their superb production of a Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. The children's performances were incredible, not simply because their acting talent, but their ability to present quite a demanding production.
The audience laughed, cried and cheered. Very well done.
Thank you to Mrs Evans, Mrs Kersey and Mrs Grandison for orchestrating the performance, and to all the staff who helped create the props and staging.
"I wanted to write to congratulate the school on tonight's performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I was impressed with the children and the effort that they had put into learning some very complex dialogue. I was impress with the ambition of the school in encouraging such young children to perform this play. In an education system that appears to be plagued by tests, metrics and results, it is marvellous that you take the effort to enthuse the children with the joy of language, performance, teamwork and expression.
