Welcome back to Term 4! Time is flying.
This term we are continuing Oceans as our topic but linking it to the non-fiction side. I have already asked the class what they want to learn and this will drive the planning for this term. We have already altered the way home learning is done to try and suit the class. All their suggestions have been considered and a vote was taken on the final outcome. As a result, home learning is in a large yellow book which they can decorate, neatly, with pictures that interest them - two or three will do. Home learning is due in on a Monday and is given back out on a Tuesday. It will consist of a Literacy (SPAG) related for the moment and a Maths homework with an extension. Already I have had very positive response to the system and hope that it will continue. Please give your child as much support as they need to complete the home learning to a high standard. As usual, if there are any problems or your child is struggling, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Here is our outline planning for this term. Things do change, but this is what we are aiming to learn about. For our Newsletters, please look at the 'News' tab. Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play some great games and visit cool website!
Welcome back everyone! I have made a mistake on the PE day. We will have PE on a Monday rather than Tuesday. In addition, I have also put up a series of questions that you can ask your child about Growth Mindset. Please ask your child all about Growth Mindset as it is so important to our learning. Thank you.
Welcome back. Happy New Year!
This term and next term we are focusing on the book Kensuke's Kingdom. Term 3 will be mainly fiction based activities and then Term 4 will be non-fiction. As much as possible will link to the book and the topic of Oceans. In the initial few weeks, we are hoping to have our real life artist, Mrs Wheeler in to show us a variety of artistic techniques which will serve as our background for our topic display. So a lot of fun and hard work! Get ready!
